Popularity seems to be not absolute at least in Web2.0.
I think that that's the reason is different member system rather than it's relative conception.

Popular post in mixx.com is not in digg.com, and almost the whole is not same.
User have a different standard about some url or article, but that is attributed to different member system.
Digg.com want to have more user, and Mixx.com too.
if value in web2.0 is how many have user, popularity will be different.
After all, key point is where exist.

Social network system (like twitter.com) is a good story and popular system in web2.0, so Digg.com start up friendship system like twitter.com.
Mixx.com support social network system, too.
They are similar in machine don't gather popular article(url) but human submit his own url or interested url.
In terms of blogger regard their post advertise as important, maybe not bad.

많은 웹사이트들이 개발되고 또 런치(Launch)되고 있을 것입니다.
이들을 이제 "New 웹사이트"라고 하겠습니다.
그러한 "New 웹사이트"들은 도데체 어디에다가 알리고 있을까요?
또는 우리는 그들의 소식을 어디서 접할 수 있을까요?
블로그(Blog)가 있다?
많은 "New 웹사이트"들은 이러한 고민을 할 것입니다.
"도데체 어디다가 우리를 알리지?"
"좀 더 쉽게 우리를 알릴 수 있는 곳은 없는가?"
Techcrunch.com에 소개되기는 한계가 있습니다.
memoriesreloaded.net/2257259를 보시면 이러한 부분을 잘 이야기하고 계십니다.
우리 일반 사용자(user)도 때로는 획기적인, 매력적인, 황당한 "New 웹사이트"들의 소식을 쉽게 접할 수 없지 않나요?
그저 Techcrunch.com에 나온다면, 또는 국내외 유명 블로거가 특정 New 웹사이트"에 대한 글을 썼을 때나 알 수 있을까요?
Daum DNA Lens를 보면 글 좀 쓰신다는 국내 유명 블로거들이 보입니다.
이 분들의 웹사이트에 대한, 특히 요즘 추세인 웹2.0에 대한 글들을 보면
"New 웹사이트"들의 소식보다는 Digg.com, Google.com, Yahoo.com등 Top-website들에 대한 글이 대부분이고
좀 처럼 이해하기 힘든 보통 일반 User들에게만 너무 먼 글들만 보입니다.
참고로 저는 어떠한 토론회도 컴퍼런스도 참가해보지도... 초청권을 받지도 못했습니다만,
왠지 느낌이 아하 이분들은 소위 말하는 상위 몇%의 블로거이구나...아~...
머 그저 그런 생각만 듭니다.
참가를 못했봐서 그런가요?
"New 웹사이트"들에도 일반 사용자(user)에게도 웹문화는 닫혀있다?
야후, 구글이 처음 탄생했을 때나 지금이나 새로운 모험을 시도하는 이들에게 웹문화는 가혹하기만 합니다.
새로운 탄생을 알릴 곳도 "스팸의 의심과 Top-website들의 소식을 알리는 광풍"속에 쉽지 않습니다.
일반 사용자(user)의 선택권도 침해 당하고 있지 않을까요?
제가 아주 자주 가는 사이트가 있습니다.

새로운 게임소식, 업데이트되는 게임 소식등을 쉽게 볼 수 있고, 그 게임에 대한 이용자의 의견도 볼 수 있죠.

네 있긴 있습니다.
위의 Techcrunch.com을 포함한 유명 블로거 이외에
Web2list.com, Go2Web20.net 아 제가 많이 알고 있지는 않군요...
또 소셜 북마크(social bookmark) 사이트에서도 얻을 수 있겠군요...
항상 일반 사용자(user)는 낯설다?
일반 사용자(user)는 자기가 사용하는 웹습관 및 문화적 차이로 인한
새로운 "New 웹사이트"들에 대한 낯설음(unfamiliarity, Gap)을 느낍니다.
"New 웹사이트"들에게는 이것을 어텋게 극복하는냐가 관건이겠구요.
특히 일반 사용자(user)는 "New 웹사이트"들의 소식을 접할수 있는 공간이 적으므로 더합니다.
왜 저는 야후 코리아 IT뉴스에
업체주가 소식, 새로운 핸드폰 소식등의 뉴스는 있어도 웹사이트 전문 뉴스가 없는지 모르겠네여.
웹사이트만의 소식을 알리는 뉴스가 있다면 좀더 많은 사람들이 정보를 얻을텐데요.
저의 형수님을 포함해서 제가 아는 많은 이들이
가끔 나오는 구글의 모 업체 인수 소식 이외에는
새로운 웹사이트 소식이나 업데이트 소식등을 아는 이는 전무합니다.
그들도 메신저를 사용하고 포털에서 검색을 하는 인터넷 누리꾼인데요...
"New 웹사이트"들이 중요한가?
"고여있는 물은 썪는다"고 합니다.
그만큼 새로운 도전, 창의, 개발이 중요하다는 말이죠.
또한 요즘같은 시대에는 일반 사용자(user)도 소위 웹1.0과 같은 보이는것만 보는 객체적 입장을 거부합니다.
일반 사용자(user)은 새로운 것에 낯설음에도 불구하고 선택권이 있습니다.
일반 사용자(user)가 좀 더 쉽게 새로운 것에 대한 소식을 자주 접할 수 있다면, 낯설음을 즐기겠죠.
이 또한 일반 사용자(user)의 선택이구요.
그러나 지금처럼 아직도 Top-website들이 지배하는 구조속에서는
일반 사용자(user)는 정말 일반 사용자(user)입니다.
주는대로 먹는...
이 이야기는 마치 "민주화에 대한 갈망", "봉건주의 타파"처럼 들릴지도 모르겠습니다.
어차피 인간의 역사속에서는 Top 클래스가 항상 지배하겠죠.
그러나 "새로운 시도가 어느 정도 보장되어 있는가?"가 발전에 대한 기름과 같은 존재 아닐까요?
"어느 정도 보장...." 그것은 노출과 알림이 기초일 것입니다.
"New 웹사이트" 그들을 보장하라!
언젠가 부터 쫌 아는 분들이 "웹2.0 그것은 거품아니야?", "그들만의 리그 아니야?" 라는 말씀을 하십니다.
계속해서 컨퍼런스등의 관련 행사는 열리고 있구요.
사실 웹2.0의 트렌드 속에 성공한 사이트가 몇개나 될까요?
비록 "New 웹사이트"들이 성공한 사이트처럼 되기위해서 개발할지라도,
"New 웹사이트"들에 대한 이야기를 성공한 사이트보다 좀 더 많이 해야합니다.
하나의 경쟁은 또다른 경쟁을 낳고, 그것은 또다른 그러나 우리에게는 낯서른 그 무엇을 만들고, 발전이라는 것을 하겠죠.
지금처럼 상위 몇%는 그들만의 이야기를 하고,
일반 사용자(user)는 "머?..머!..머~어..머?!...."....
지금의 Top class만을 좇는 웹문화는 정말 "New 웹사이트"에게도 일반 사용자(user)에게도 해롭습니다.
"가진 자들은 덜 가진,아니 못 가진 자들에게 관대하라!"라고 생각하셔도 좋습니다.
예전에는 그야 말로 종이신문, 전문 잡지, 간혹 TV에서만 정보를 얻을 수 있었지만,
이제는 블로거가 새로운 미디어라고 칭할 정도로 많은 영향력이 있지요.
하지만 달라진 것이 있나요?
"아... 당신은 당신이 말하는 그 'New 웹사이트'의 개발자이시군요..그래서 이런 썰을 푸시나요?"
저도 미래의 한 개발일지도 모르겠습니다.
하지만 그전에 일반 사용자(user)입니다.
저에게도 당신에게도 선택권이 있고 평가할 권리가 있죠.
그러나 우리는 알지 못합니다. 무엇이 내 주변에 있는지를...
TV속 "다X UCC" 광고는 봅니다만...
저에도 책임이 있겠죠. 그래도 블로거를 한다는 사람이 ...

그러나 보다 많은 이에게 영향력이 있는 위치에 있다면 제발 "New 웹사이트"를 보장하십시요.
그것이 IT 인프라 강국에 소프트웨어 강국을 플러스하는 길입니다.
현재 지구의 온라인에서는 웹2.0이 트렌드이고 가치를 평가 받고 있습니다.
웹2.0은 닫혀 있기보단 오픈되고자하는 성질을 가지고 있습니다.
그러나 아직 웹문화는 그렇지 못한 것 같습니다.
